How It Works

Wave Patch is a thin, flexible patch with a copper layer, held on with 3M medical tape. It contains no drugs, no chemicals, and no active ingredients, and nothing from the patch is absorbed into your skin.

You place it on a specific spot on the body, go about your day or your night, and peel it off after up to 12 hours. There are five patches in the lineup, and each one is meant for its own situation and its own placement.

What sets it apart

Most things you put on your body to feel better are something you swallow, rub in, or plug in. Wave Patch is none of those.

Nothing to take in

No medication, no cream, no scent. Nothing is released from the patch into the body, so there's nothing to swallow, digest, or absorb.

No battery, no heat, no wires

There's nothing to charge or switch on, and it doesn't warm up. It works as a simple patch you wear.

Thin enough to forget

About the thickness of a sticker. It bends with your skin and stays out of sight under clothing, at work or in bed.

Cut to fit

Trim it with ordinary scissors to follow a joint, the curve of a shoulder, or a small area of the face.

Stays put

3M medical-grade tape, the kind used in clinics, holds through a full workday or a full night's sleep.

Five patches, five jobs

Rather than one patch for everything, each type has its own purpose and its own recommended placement.

How it's made

All five patches start from the same base: a thin copper patch, made in Korea. What makes each type different is the next step. Using specialized equipment, a different wave pattern is imprinted onto the copper for each patch type. That's where the name Wave Patch comes from, and it's why Quantum P, Quantum X, Quantum G, Quantum S, and Q Wrinkle are made as different products.

Because the imprint is what makes each patch type distinct, keep unused patches in their original paper envelope, away from heat, humidity, and phones or other electronics, and don't mix different types in the same envelope.

Where it goes

Placement is the most important part of using Wave Patch. Every placement in our guides follows one of three approaches.

1

Right where you feel it

A sore shoulder after a workout, a tight lower back after a long shift, tired calves after a day on your feet. Put the patch directly on the spot. If the area is larger than one patch, lay several side by side until it's covered.

2

Over the organ underneath

Some placements follow the body's own layout. The stomach sits just beneath the lower left ribs, and the liver sits beneath the lower right ribs, so those are the spots used when your stomach feels off or you're run down.

3

On traditional points

A few placements come from points acupuncturists have used for centuries: the small hollow in the center of the sole of the foot, the spot between the eyebrows, and the temples.

Which patch, when

Each product page has a placement diagram showing exactly where it goes.

Quantum PWhenAfter a hard workout, a long shift on your feet, or an everyday bump or knock.WhereRight on the spot. Cover the whole area with as many patches as it takes.
Quantum XWhenDay after day on the joints you use the most, and when your stomach feels unsettled or you're feeling run down.WhereAround the knees; just below the left or right rib cage.
Quantum GWhenThe days you barely move: long flights, long drives, long hours at a desk.WhereCenter of each sole; over the heart before a flight; around the ankles and below the knees.
Quantum SWhenAt bedtime, as part of your evening wind-down.WhereBetween the eyebrows, the temples, behind the ears, or the back of the neck. Pick one or two.
Q WrinkleWhenOvernight, while you sleep.WhereShaped pieces for the forehead, between the brows, under the eyes, beside the mouth, and the outer corners.

How to wear it

  1. Start with clean, completely dry skin. Lotion, oil, or moisture underneath keeps the tape from holding.
  2. Place the patch flat on the spot. Trim it to fit if needed. For a larger area, place several side by side, but never stack one on top of another.
  3. Wear it for up to 12 hours. During the day, or overnight for Quantum S and Q Wrinkle.
  4. Peel it off slowly. The tape holds firmly. Each patch is single-use, so start with a fresh one next time.

Common questions

Can I wear different patches at the same time?

Yes. You can wear different patches on different spots on the same day, for example Quantum P on your shoulder during the day and Quantum S at bedtime.

Can I reuse a patch?

No. Each patch is single-use. Once it's been worn and peeled off, throw it away.

I take medication. Is that a problem?

Nothing from the patch is absorbed into the body. Still, if you're managing a medical condition, are pregnant or nursing, or have an implanted electronic device, check with your healthcare provider before using it.

What if my skin gets irritated?

A small number of people react to medical adhesive. Try one patch on a small area first. If you notice itching or redness, remove it and stop using it. Don't apply to broken or irritated skin.
